Chicken with Honey and Crushed Red Pepper
The other day I came to work and at lunch time i realized I had about a dozen chicken tenders that were by that time dried out and fairly tasteless. This was because I had baked them a few days previous and I hadn't used enough seasoning at the time. So I decided to rejuvenate them! The nice thing is that we have a new toaster oven with convection heating in the break room! I combined the following ingrediants in a paper bowl i found at work: Crushed red pepper (we had it in one of the drawers) Honey (we have it on the shelf for use with tea) Black Pepper (it was on the countertop) Salt (ditto) hot water I then poured this on the chicken tenders. I placed it in the convection oven and heated it up for about 7 minutes. I should have turned the heat up higher and used foil (i used 300 degrees or so) but next time i will use a higher temp and foil.
